On September 23, 2025, the Ministry of Energy, together with the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE) and the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), announced the achievements of 30 years of the Energy-Saving Label No. 5 program, which has helped the country reduce electricity consumption by more than 40 billion units and cut carbon dioxide emissions by over 22 million tons. At the event, the new “No. 5 Label” was launched, now covering 45 products, to keep pace with technological changes and support the goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
