Description
Function
The Energy Management Device (EV-EM1) monitors the current at the main incoming power
distribution. The device automatically reduces the charging current if the current at the main
reaches the threshold current and adjusts it to the maximum when the total current no longer
exceeds the main maximum. The lowest charging current can go down to 6A.
Home Use
- Charging at Home. No need to change the revenue meter. Preventing breaker trips while charging.
- Automatically adjust the charging current down when the total current exceeds the Main CB, and automatically adjust it back once the total current decreases.
- Real-time monitoring of total electricity consumption on Web Application.
- Having settings for Main CB and initial adjusting current threshold.
EV Charging Station
- Device to control charging current for EVs to be responsive to the total current in the circuit to prevent tripping of the main circuit breaker.
- Having Web Application for set up through Wi-Fi, include setting maximum total current, initial adjusting current threshold, number of EV chargers, and their priority for charging up to 3 levels.
- Using Modbus RTU (RS485) for communication between Energy Management and EV chargers. 1 Energy management can communicate up to 20 EV chargers.
